During 2007 we celebrated 120 years of worship in our current church building. The congregation celebrated the 120th Anniversary on April 21st with a celebration dinner followed by a celebratory service and morning tea on Sunday morning.
St Peter’s welcomes you to services and looks forward to meeting new people. We enjoy sharing God’s love and care with others and always welcome new faces to our services! There are always lots of events and services happening at St Peter’s and we would love for you to come along and join us!
St Peter’s has a Explorer’s Club for children aged 3-12, mens and women’s fellowship, youth and a variety of Bible study groups. Please come along to one of our morning services to see how you can become involved!
The history of the current church building dates back to 1886.
There have been continual improvements made over the years to adapt for the changing congregation and the changing times. The more recent improvements include:
- Ramps for wheelchair access on both the church and the hall.
- Shade sails to provide shelter from the sun on those hot summer mornings for a cup of tea.
- The latest addition has new toilet facilities at the rear of the hall. We thank the Queensland Government Community Benefit Fund for the Grant received to construct this fantastic facility.
Facilities for Hire: The church and hall are available to hire for special functions. The hall has a full kitchen including oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery. There are mens, ladies and disabled toilets and ample tables and chairs. The church is air conditioned. If you are interested in using the facilities for a function please email us for more information. Thanks
